We often use the before ordinal numbers. (usamos the antes de los numeros ordinales)
Example: Our flat is on the first floor. (Nuestro apartamento esta en el primer piso)

We can say the date in two ways. (podemos decir la fecha de dos maneras)
   26th January- the twenty-sixth of January
                     or January the twenty-sixth

We normally use on before dates. (usamos on antes de las fechas)
Example: My birthday is on the 26th of May (mi cumpleaños es el 26 de mayo)
